When you’re as immersed in the world of photography as we obviously are, it becomes such a natural part of who you are that sometimes you need a reminder of just why it is so important. So, World Photography Day this month was just what we needed. The theme for 2025 was ‘My Favourite Photo’ – so simple, yet so personal. It gave us a chance to think deeply about our community, every little thing we love about photography and… well, just feel.
Because that’s really what photography is all about, isn’t it? Capturing moments that make us laugh, cry, rage, yearn, flinch, swoon, gasp, melt or even recoil is exactly what makes photographers get out of bed in the morning. And it thrills us to be able to play an important part in the over TWO TRILLION photos that are expected to have been taken in 2025.
Among these are images by our Canon Ambassadors, photographers who are at the top of their game and who accomplish the most extraordinary feats with their cameras. If you ever needed a reminder of the power of photography, these pros would be the place to start.
